About Pittsburgh International Children's Theater/The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust

The Pittsburgh International Children's Theater has been bringing quality family programming to the Pittsburgh region for almost forty years, and their Family Series and International Children's Festival reach over 47,000 people each season. This year, they were pleased to announce a merger with The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Since the formation of The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust in 1984, Pittsburgh has seen the renovation and revitalization of its arts community. The Trust has restored classic grand theaters, constructed totally new facilities, commissioned public art projects and developed unique urban parks and riverfront recreation spaces in downtown Pittsburgh. Currently, the Trust owns and operates numerous theater and gallery venues, and is centered in the heart of the Cultural District at Theater Square. Some of the venues include the Byham Theater, a former 1903 vaudeville house that was reopened in 1991, and the Benedum Center, which was built in 1927 as the Stanley Theater and was reopened in 1987.
