Assitej Netherlands invites you to a Showcase in Amsterdam, Sept 3-4, 2012

Assitej Netherlands has partnered with Theater Instituut Nederland, Theatre De Krakeling, and the Dutch Theatre Festival for a showcase of new works for young audiences. The event will take place September 3-4, 2012 at the Theatre De Krakeling in Amsterdam, the preeminent venue for children's theatre in the Netherlands. With approximately two dozen companies participating, the showcase will offer a broad overview of the latest developments in Dutch theatre and dance for young audiences.
Among the participating companies will be De Toneelmakerij, Stella Den Haag, Danstheater Aya, Plan D./Andreas Denk, Theatre ISH, Beumer & Drost, and many others. They will present excerpts of new works that will be available to tour internationally. The showcase program will be curated by Kees Blijleven of De Krakeling, in collaboration with the board of ASSITEJ the Netherlands. Coinciding with the Dutch Theatre Festival, the showcase offers the additional opportunity to attend full-length performances of the 2011-12 winners in the category of Best Young People's Theatre Productions.
