Tim Jennings
Tim Jennings is the incoming Managing Director of the
Seattle
Children's Theatre, the 3rd largest Theatre for Young Audiences in the world. He has worked continuously
in theatre production and management since beginning his career 24 years ago. Prior to SCT, Tim was the
Managing Director for Roseneath Theatre (www.roseneath.ca ). During his tenure there (2000 to 2008) Tim,
and Artistic Director David S. Craig, turned Roseneath into Ontario's largest touring theatre and largest
professional disseminator of TYA (100,000 + young people annually). Together they produced work that
garnered 15 Dora Award nominations (Toronto's Tony) and won 6, as well as 2 Canada Council for the Arts
'Theatre for Young Audience' Prizes. He was nominated in 2007 as the Canadian Arts Presenters (CapaCoa)
'Artist Manager of the Year'. Tim spent the first 15 years of his career in production management/technical
direction with such notable companies as Ainsworth Production at the SkyDome, the Canadian Stage Company,
the Canadian Opera Company and the River Run Centre.
Tim has worked as a professor of theatre production (various disciplines) at several Canadian Universities
and Colleges including Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology and Ryerson Polytechnic University
(where he also served as Resident Technical Director). He is proud to be a part of IPAY and to serve as the
new Membership Chair.
