Laura Goodwin
Laura Goodwin has been the Director of Learning and Engagement at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas since 2005. At the Walton, she leads community and school-based arts learning and engagement programs, and collaborates with educational leaders to advocate for in-depth training in arts integrated teaching models and student arts participation. Ms. Goodwin leads the development of resource materials to provide patrons contextual information about performances, and works with touring artists and companies to develop in-depth residencies and creates professional development opportunities for Walton staff through workshops and creative conversations with artists. During Ms. Goodwin's twelve year tenure at Walton Arts Center, the organization's arts education programming was profiled in the Dana Foundation's publication Acts of Achievement: The Role of Performing Arts Centers in Education and received the Arkansas Governor's Arts Award for Excellence in Arts Education. She holds a BS in Textile Design from Auburn University and MFA in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.
