Lian Farrer
From 1988, Lian Farrer has served as Vice President for Education at the State Theatre in New Jersey. She has created a comprehensive education program—performances for schools, artist residencies, festivals, teacher professional development, lectures, classes, and other programs—that serve over 40,000 people annually. Before joining the State Theatre, Lian was Assistant Administrative Director of the New York City Opera's Education Department and National Touring Company. She has served on the Advisory Committee of the Kennedy Center's Partners in Education program, the Board of Trustees of the Alliance for Arts Education-New Jersey, and the New Jersey Arts Education Collective.
